3 DIY recipes for shiny hair

acidic rinse

1. Recipe for an acidic rinse - instead of conditioner:

1/2 liter of water
1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice

application: Apply the mixture to the hair after washing and rinse with water as desired, or leave it in the hair as a leave-in conditioner.

Pro hack: cold water or warm water for the rinse? If you want to maximize shine, use cold water for the rinse. If you absolutely can't stand that, simply rinse with warm water. You'll only achieve 98% of the shine this way, but your shower experience will remain cozy and warm!

2. Recipe for flaxseed gel - for moisture:

30g whole flaxseeds
250ml water
3-4 drops of apple cider vinegar (for preservation)

Bring flaxseeds and water to a boil, then simmer for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Continue stirring over low heat until the mixture forms threads and the flaxseeds rise to the surface. Pour the gel through a fine sieve or cloth into a glass jar, then add vinegar.

application: Massage the gel into damp hair ends or onto damp scalp. If you want to use the gel as a styling product, leave it in your hair; otherwise, rinse it out after a few minutes. Use the gel within a few days or freeze it.

Oil mask for shiny hair

3. Recipe for an oil mask - for re-oiling:

3-4 tablespoons almond oil, safflower oil or sunflower oil

Application: Apply the oil to wet hair, distribute it with a comb on the scalp or ends – basically anywhere you want to replenish the oil. Leave the oil in for several hours or even overnight, wrapped in a towel. The next day, wash thoroughly 2-3 times with plenty of soap.
